YES we need help.
The support we receive from individuals like you, who share our love and commitment to helping cats and kittens in Los Angeles, enables our part time, volunteer team to what we do. Not everyone can trap and fix cats, foster or adopt, but you can chip-in to support all the medical needs and expenses required to keep it going.
We were on the street throughout 2020, we didn’t “pause” the TNR managed to FIX just over 1,200 homeless cats & find loving homes for just over 500 homeless cats & kittens who otherwise would still be on the street. That’s just over 1,700 lives impacted in just 12 months!
Our part time volunteers are doing their best to prevent more litters by making sure all those would be mother cats are spayed, rescuing newborns & the youngest kittens who may not survive on the street, leaving them means we’ll have even more cats to fix IF they survive.
Now you can support those spays and neuters, by funding a mobile clinic. You can crowd fund to help us fix 35 more kitties & yes you’ll receive a donation receipt.
Support Our Rescue Work
Every kitty we rescue requires funds to coverbasic medical care until they’re adoption ready. In many cases extensive testing, x-rays & surgeries. Veterinary care, even for rescues isn’t FREE & each kitty we rescues costs an average of $85-150 for the basics such as deworming/internal parasite treatment, flea control, testing, vaccinations & their spay or neuter.
The pandemic has made a very dire problem worse.
If you can support by chipping in, even a few dollars we’re grateful. If you’re a neighbor & you’d prefer to drop off pet food, potty pads, litter or even gift cards to cover gas you may do so at The Urban Pet Silver Lake store, 4475 Santa Monica Blvd. Los Angeles 90029.

Our primary focus is Trap/Neuter/Return & generating greater awareness & support for spay/neuter as these are most humane ways we can reduce the number of animals in harms way, both on the street and being surrendered & killed in our city shelters.
