Our TNR support is extremely limited due to clinic closures & price increases for spay/neuter.
.
WHAT IS TNR & WHY?
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) has been proven the most effective way to ensure strays, or neighborhood cats aren’t multiplying. It dramatically decreases the number of kittens suffering on the street & overwhelming shelters & rescues.
Once a spay/neuter appointment is confirmed, free roaming cats are humanely trapped, transported to a clinic where they’re scanned for a microchip, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and following 36 hours for recovery, returned exactly where they were trapped.
Community focused, or “high intensity”TNR is what we do. Learn about the science supporting regionally focused TNR. . Frontiers in Veterinary Science
An ear tip is the universal sign of a spayed or neutered cat. Eartips are readily visible from a distance, making it easy for the public & animal control to identify a cat as spayed or neutered. The procedure is performed under sterile conditions while the cat is anesthetized, is relatively painless, involves little to no bleeding and does not significantly alter the cat's appearance. We consider that ear tip a badge of honor!
A friendly reminder, humans domesticated cats, most free roaming cats were born outside, in the wild thanks to abandoned, un-ixed pets. As a compassionate community, each of us have a responsibility to treat them with kindess & do no harm.
The ear is tip means this kitty’s been neutered & vaccinated! The cat may or may not be someone’s community pet, the ear tip means the cat has bee spayed or neutered.

So You Know:
Once you submit the TNR Request Form, we’ll review your request, assess the urgency of the situation, connect via email and a volunteer will schedule the TNR based on available spay/neuter & the number of cats on our wait list to be trapped & fixed. There is no such thing as on demand trapping & spay/neuter..
Please note, our volunteer trappers have full time jobs & donate their time.
Once a trapping date is confirmed, you’ll be required to:
Withhold all food for 24 hours before trapping,
The cats are trapped in the early evening, held overnight by the volunteer trapper & transported to a clinic by the volunteer trapper very early the following morning for surgery.
Following surgery, they’re monitored by the volunteer trapper while they recover, fed 2-3 meals & 36 hours after surgery. they’re returned exactly where they were trapped.
We do NOT have a shelter facility.
We are NOT an animal pick up service. We don’t accept unwanted animals from the public.
We do NOT relocate/remove cats. Free roaming cats are always returned exactly where they were trapped.
We do NOT provide free medical care or food for cats living in the community/free roaming cats.
