Rescues get a discount on veterinary care, but nothing is free. When kitten Margaux was thrown from a car on the 101 freeway in East Hollywood, we did everything we possibly could to save her. Sadly she wasn’t strong enough but we were still left with a bill totaling just over $5,000. Thanks to Stray Paws Animal Haven, our total was reduced to $3,100 to cover almost 2 weeks of intensive care, 2 blood transfusions & an emergency surgery to remove the bra strap she had ingested & was blocking her intestine.

Each and every day since Margaux was rescued, we’ve been overwhelmed with more babies on the street that needed to be rescued. Our friends at the Copro Gallery stepped up to help and Stephanie Inagaki rallied some of L.A.’s most unique & inspiring artists to donate one of their works to help us cover our mounting medical bills.
